First Floor - Casino

Atrium
During the day the guards handle any queries from the main entrance. At night, a hostess welcomes the patrons and directs them towards the casino. A small placard next to the entrance to the casino states any upcoming events. This room, like the others, is sumptously decorated. Spider plants, hanging from the twelve foot high ceiling, and potted flowers give the room some greenery. On the right of the atrium stands a statue of Sharess, while on the left side a statue of Corellon Larethian stands at attention. The doors are always unlocked, and usually ajar when the weather permits.

Ballroom and Casino
This large 60'x30' room serves as a casino and occasionally as a ballroom for special events. Five tables offer either Black Jack or Poker. Ivy clings to the walls and to suspended rafters 20' above. The actual ceiling appears to be more than four stories high (around 48' high), with high cathedral style stained-glass windows recessed in the far wall. The ceiling is fake however, as Tanus's room actually occupies the third and fourth floor above this room. A Permanent Illusion was cast on the ceiling so as to make it appear higher than it really is. Walking among the crowds are prostitutes looking for customers, as well as two bouncers. While it is nominally a casino, some of the shadier practices of gambling are not offered. For example the House encourages patrons to gamble within their means and does not provide any loans.

Baths
Designed for both utilitarian and frolicking purposes, this 35'x15' room contains two large baths, recessed into the floor, as well as a large hot tub that holds up to six people. Lounge chairs are also positioned around the hot tub. It is open during the day for the women, and privately at night when requested.

Coat Room
Provided free of charge, a clerk takes patrons' coats and stores them in the coat room.

Dining Room
Two long tables occupy the 35'x30' room, with 12 chairs at each table and more chairs along the walls. The silverware, made of actual silver, is stored in the office at night. The dinning room is not locked.

Female Servants Bedroom
Currently two women live in this 15'x15' room. They each have keys to the door, as well as their own key to the chest lying at each of their beds.

Freezer
Maintained courtesy of some [insert creature], this 10'x15' room is always kept below zero degrees centigrade. The room is always stocked with at least a week's worth of food, and is usually not locked.

Gallery
The House occasionally showcases local artists, as well as various objects of art that adventurers pick up.

Guardroom
Each of these 10'x10' rooms houses one guard during the day as well as holding various weapons and armor. At night the guards stand at attention on either side of the atrium.

Kitchen
Only one cook is necessary to feed the House, but this 35'x15' kitchen is large enough to comfortably hold up to three cooks at once. A cistern in the attic holds the water, and due to simple gravity water is available from the faucets. The back door is unlocked during the day.

Library
A rather extensive library by medieval standards, roughly a quarter of the books are devoted to fiction (mostly of the sawdry type). Other topics of interest cover worship of Corellon Larethian and Sharess, local and global history, geography and culture (including Mulhondi and Elven), and current events. The library is well-known for holding the original copy of a book simply called The Book of Sharess, the contents of which are similar to the Kama Sutra. The library is open during the day to anyone, but books are not allowed to leave the room.

Linen Closet
While in fact holding much of the linen of the House, this 15'x15' room also holds cleaning and other supplies. It is always kept locked.

Male Servants Bedroom
The cook and the janitor live in this room, and it is similar to the female servants room.

Office
The madame of the House keeps her legal documents here, as well as the earnings from the casino and brothel. The House, due to the expensive tastes of the occupants, does not make a profit and runs in the red every month. Tanus subsidizes the rest of the cost from his adventuring career. A high quality lock on the door keeps the casual thieves at bay, while a small vault holds the gold.

Shrine to Sharess
A small, but by no means humble, shrine to Sharess is located here. Not surprisingly, many of the prostitutes venere Sharess as their patron diety.

Side Entrance
Shy and secretive patrons sometimes prefer to use the side entrance rather than advertise their entrance. A guard is always located here, and the door is always locked.

Supplies
Tools, kitchenware and other supplies are stored in this room. A hidden trap door leads to a small tunnel system that connects this building to the thieve's guild. The door is locked.

Waiting Room
The madame of the House usually entertains her guests and business partners in this comfy 15'x20' room. Plush seats and couches litter the room, with a well-stocked bar on the left wall.

WC - Water Closet
This is a bathroom.
