Alexander was born into a filthy rich family. His personal wealth is 10 million Euros, mostly liquid investments, but his family has over 10 billion Euros in assets. He is the consummate rich playboy, and a disappointment to his family. While he will inherit the noble title upon his father's death, his younger sister and the pride of the family is due to inherit 9/10ths of the family's assets.

Both parents are still alive. His father, the Earl of Pembroke in Wales (United Kingdom), is from one of the oldest noble families and owns about one third of the land in Pembrokeshire county. His mother is ethnically Chinese and was born in Hong Kong. She inherited her family's expansive shipping business in Hong Kong. They met and married while his father was in Hong Kong for 8 years, partly because it was a good financial union. While not overly amorous, the couple staunchly stands up for each other and the family, which means everything to them. The family still owns the shipping business in Hong Kong, despite increasing business moving to Shanghai as the main port of China.

Alexander was born in Hong Kong in 1987, before the handoff of Hong Kong back to China. As such, being also ethnically (part-)Chinese, he is both a Chinese citizen and a UK citizen.

Alexander's Viscount of Haverford title is a courtesy title, since he is the heir to the Earl title.
