Let's assume Cleitus the Black didn't get into a fight with Alexander, and the next day takes possession of Bactria with a promise of Sogdria much later. During that fateful night Cleitus the Black was tasked with taking 16,000 second-rate Greek mercenaries to hunt down and tame the steppe nomads in the North (no wonder he was grumpy!), taking him out of the picture for a while.

During that fateful night Cleitus the Black was tasked with taking 16,000 second-rate Greek mercenaries to hunt down and tame the steppe nomads in the North (no wonder he was grumpy!), taking him out of the picture for a while.

Cleitus leaves you, his heir, as acting satrap (regent) of Bactria in his stead. You are 16 years old, the same age Alexander was in a similar situation. There is much that needs to be done in Bactria if you are to survive!
