Skye's FollowersAdherents and admirers, these elves are Skye's companions. Skye's letters to the Queen and the Elven Court of Celene were initially well received, if not exactly noteworthy, until Skye's dealings with the drow. Polarizing the Court, his missives divided the elves into three camps. There there are those elves who think that all drow are only fit to die, those who believe that what Skye did was little more than enslavement, and a last group who believe that drastic measures may be appropriate in order to redeem the drow. His tale of wooing and saving the drow elf Sikitha spread outside of the Court, and to the populace of the capital city of Entrad. There, those who were especially idealistic and had not yet been hardened to life were deeply touched by the idea of redeeming their lost brethren. Skye gained a small amount of well-wishers and advocates. He became their model, their champion, showing that it is possible to fix the blight of the elven race without killing each and every one of the drow. Of these elves, a few have sought out Skye and wish to follow him on his expeditions. Thus far, Skye has rebuffed many of them, explaining that while he appreciates their support, his task and duty is not an easy one and that it often involves danger. However, Skye has found it hard to resist some of the more pushy or enticing followers who share his views. Skye's actions at the battle of Ander's Fall have also gained him some reknown throughout the Gran March. In his home area of Barony Dieren, an area populated by elves, he is seen as a well-respected individual who wields considerable arcane power. However, this image is tarnished by his association with the drow Sikitha. The people of Gran March are largely un-prejudiced (the notable exception being the Knights of the Watch), respecting actions and might over race or species, which explains why they have even let hobgoblins join their citizenry. Nonetheless, the elves of Barony Dieren have a hatred for drow elves and Valley elves that goes beyond logic. Skye's followers that originate from Gran March are those elves that can overlook his associaton with Sikitha.
